Player of the Week, 8/4-10: Lars Anderson
Portland 1B Lars Anderson received a record 98.9 percent of votes cast in last week's SoxProspects.com Player of the Week voting (August 4-10) in recognition of a week in which he hit three home runs and four doubles in 29 ABs, and posted a .345/.472/.793 (1.265 OPS) line, continuing his torrid pace since being promoted to Portland. In 24 games with the Sea Dogs, Anderson, 20, is .329/.424/.592 (1.021 OPS) with four home runs and eight doubles over 76 ABs. This is Anderson's second Player of the Week Award, he last won for the week of June 30-July 6. He is currently the #2 ranked prospect in the organization by SoxProspects.com.
