Zink throws complete game 2 hit shutout
7/4 Cup of Coffee: Happy 4th of July everyone, have a great day! Pawtucket blanked Syracuse 3-0. Charlie Zink (9-2)threw 9 scorless innings allowing 2 hits and 2 BB. He had 8 Ks. Keith Ginter went 1 for 4 with 3 RBI.
Trenton shutout Portland 4-0. Adam Mills (0-1) went 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. Daniel Haigwood threw 2 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Ryan Khoury went 2 for 3.
High Desert edged Lancaster 5-4. Tony Bajoczky threw 7 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits. He had 5 Ks. Richie Lentz (3-3) went 1 inning giving up 4 runs on 4 hits and a BB. He had 2 Ks. Jason Place went 2 for 5 with a RBI. Lars Anderson went 2 for 5. Luis Exposito went 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Savannah hammered Greenville 9-1. Felix Doubront (8-6) threw 4 innings giving up 5 runs on 8 hits and 2 BB. He had 4 Ks. Kyle Foster went 2.2 frames giving up 4 runs on 8 hits and a BB. Ryne Lawson went 2.1 scoreless innings allowing 1 hit. He had 2 KS. The Drive had only 5 hits in the game with no player having multiple hits.
