Player of the Week, 6/23-29: Jon Van Every
Powered by his four home runs in 23 at-bats last week, Pawtucket OF Jonathan Van Every was voted (position) Player of the Week for June 23-29 by the SoxProspects.com community. Van Every, 28, posted a .348/.423/.913 (1.341 OPS) line with one double and seven runs batted in and scored and worked two bases on balls (plus was hit by a pitch) in addition to his four homers. Signed as a minor league free agent last off season, Van Every is .290/.369/.580 (.950 OPS) in 262 ABs over 81 games with 21 HR, nine doubles and two triples, and has batted in 49 runners (61 R) with Pawtucket in 2008.
