Bard's scoreless streak comes to an end
5/8 Cup of Coffee: Pawtucket defeated Durham 12-7 on Wednesday. Kyle Synder (1-1) went 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and a BB. He had 6 Ks. Edgar Martinez threw 2 innings and did not give up a run while allowing 2 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Abe Alvarez did not retire a hitter but gave up 4 runs on 3 hits. Eric Hull pitched an inning and allowed 1 run on 2 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Alex Cora went 2 for 4 with a run scored. Sandy Madera went 3 for 4 with a home run, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Chris Carter went 2 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBI.
Portland blanked New Hampshire 10-0. Michael Bowden picked up the win going 6.2 innings. He did not allow a run on 1 hit and a BB. He had 3 Ks.
