Richardson fans 10 in Sea Dog win
4/8 Cup of Coffee: Yesterday saw Pawtucket defeat Lehigh Valley 9-3. Mike Timlin started the game and threw a scoreless inning. He allowed 2 hits and fanned 1. Mike Tejera went 4 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and 2 BB. He had 3 Ks. Lincoln Holdzkom earned the win retiring the 4 hitters he faced. Jon Switzer finished up going 2 scoreless innings. He gave up 2 hits and struck out 1. Chris Carter went 2 for 5 with a run scored and 3 RBI. Bobby Keilty went 1 for 1 with a home run and 2 runs scored.
Portland got by Connecticut 7-3. Dustin Richardson earned the win going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits and 3 BB. He had 10 Ks. Kyle Jackson threw a perfect 2 innings with 1 K. Mike James also had a perfect inning with 2 Ks. Beau Vaughn finished off pitching the 9th. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Sean Danielson went 4 for 6 with 2 runs scored. Ryan Khoury went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Lancaster blew a 3 run lead going into the bottom of the 9th against Inland Empire allowing them to tie the score 3-3. The game stayed that way until after the 15th was completed and the game was suspended. The game will be completed tonight.
Greenville doubled Lexington 6-3. Austin Bailey started and went 4 2/3 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Eammon Portice picked up the win going 3 1/3 innings allowing 1 run on 1 hit and a BB. He had 5 Ks. Felix Ventura threw a scoreless, hitless 9th but gave up 2 BB. David Marks went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Manny Arambarris went 3 for 5 .
Player of the Night: Dustin Richardson who didn't allow a hit until the 5th inning and recorded 10 Ks.
