Moss officially called up to Boston
After being reported as a probability on Sunday, outfielder Brandon Moss was officially activated by the Red Sox and joined the team in Ahaheim for the three game set against the Angels. A roster spot was opened up when Eric Hinske was placed on the breavment list this afternoon. Moss will stay with the team until at least Thursday, as Hinske is expected to rejoin the Sox in Baltimore on Friday. Moss can play all three outfield positions and recently has spent some time at first base. He was hitting .290 with 13 home runs for Pawtucket.
