Jon Still's 3 runs and 2 RBI help propel Jethawk win
8/17 Cup of Coffee: On Thursday, Pawtucket edged Ottawa 4-3. Charlie Zink went 7 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Bryan Corey (4-8) blew the save and was charged with the loss. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2/3 of an inning. Craig Breslow gave up a hit to the only batter he faced. Junior Spivey went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI. Joe McEwing went 3 for 5. Bobby Kielty went 2 for 5 with a RBI. Ed Rogers went 2 for 5 and scored a run. Alex Prieto went 2 for 4 and scored a run.
Trenton doubled the score on Portland with a 8-4 win. Justin Masterson (4-2) went 5 innings allowing 7 runs on 11 hits and 2 BB. He had 3 Ks. Andrew Dobies threw a clean inning with 1 K. Beau Vaughan also threw a clean inning. Jose Vaquedano threw 1 inning allowing 1 run on 3 hits. He had 1 K. Andrew Pinckney went 1 for 4 with a home run.
