Buchholz fans 9 in 7 inning no decision outing
8/7 Cup of Coffee: Monday saw both Portland and Lancaster have an off-day.In action was Pawtucket who fell 6-1 to Rochester despite the strong performance of Clay Buchholz who gave up 1 run on 4 hits over 7 innings. He did not allow a BB while fanning 9. Edgar Martinez (2-6) took the loss giving up 5 runs on 5 hits and a BB in 2/3 of an inning. Lincoln Holdzkom threw a scoreless inning despite giving up 3 hits. He had 1 K. Craig Breslow threw the final 1/3 of an inning striking out the only batter he faced. Joe McEwing went 2 for 4. Jed Lowrie went 2 for 4 and is now hitting .340. Michael Tucker went 2 for 4 and scored a run.
Greenville split a doubleheader with Hagerstown. The Drive lost the first game 3-2 with Dustin Richardson (5-7) taking the loss. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits and 2 BB in 3 innings of work.
