Moss has big night in PawSox win
6/6 Cup of Coffee: On Tuesday, Pawtucket defeated Richmond 10-3. Kason Gabbard (5-2) went 7 innings to earn the victory. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits and 2 BB. He had 5 Ks. Craig Hansen threw a scoreless inning giving up 1 hit. Mike Burns pitched the ninth allowing a run on 2 hits. Joe McEwing went 2 for 3 with a home run and he scored 4 runs. Brandon Moss went 3 for 5 with a run scored and 4 RBI. Chad Spann went 2 for 3 with a run scored and 3 RBI. Bobby Scales went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.
Erie got by Portland 8-5. Tommy Hottovy (1-7) lasted 4 1/3 innings. He gave up 6 runs on 6 hits and 4 BB. He had 1 K. Kyle Jackson went 1 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits. He struck out 4. Lincoln Holdzkom pitched 2 scoreless innings allowing 1 hit and a BB. He had 2 Ks. Jeff Corsaletti went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Jay Johnson went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.
