Zink throws 6 strong for Seadogs


4/15 Cup of Coffee: In Pawtucket the Pawsox fell to Scranton 5-1. Abe Alvarez got the loss going 4 2/3 innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits while striking out 2 and walking 3. Brandon Moss and Joe McEwing each had a hit in the loss. Portland on Saturday split a doubleheader. In game 1 Tommy Hottovy took the loss going 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 8 hits while striking out 5. Bryce Cox pitched two innings and walked 2 batters. Jeff Natale and Jacoby Ellsbury each had a hit in the loss. In game 2 the Seadogs beat Binghamton 5-1. Charlie Zink pitched 6 innings giving up a run on 5 hits while striking out 6 and walking 2. Andrew Pinckney went 2/3 and Dusty Brown went 2/4 with a homerun. Lancaster fell to Inland Empire 9-8. Mike Rozier went 5 2/3 innings giving up 7 runs (4 of them earned) on 12 hits while striking out 4 and walking 2. Iggy Suarez led the offense going 3/4 with a double and a walk. Aaron Bates went 2/3 with a double and 3 walks and Jay Johnson also went 2/4 with a walk and 2 outfield assists. Greenville's game was suspended in the 2nd inning and will continued on Sunday.

Player of the night: Charlie Zink who pitched 6 innings giving up a run on 5 hits whole stiking out 6 and walking 2.
