Jason Varitek went 2 for 4 with a run scored. Corky Miller went 3 for 4 with a home run and 4 RBI. Alex Gonzalez went 1 for 3. New Hampshire edged Portland 1-0 in 13 innings. Tommy Hottovy started and went 7 shutout innings giving up just 2 hits and a BB. He had 6 Ks. Kyle Jackson pitched 2 scoreless innings allowing 1 hit and a BB. He had 2 Ks.
