Bad weather is playing havoc with the SeaDogs this spring. Portland saw their doubleheader with Altoona washed out last night. Meanwhile, Pawtucket doubled Indianapolis 6-3. Adam Stern went 2 for 5 and scored a run. Hee-Seop Choi went 2 for 4 with a home run. David Murphy went 2 for 3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. He also reached base twice on BB. Matt Ginter started and went 7 innings to get the win. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and 3 BB. He had 2 Ks. Craig Breslow threw the last 2 innings allowing 0 runs on 0 hits. He did not walk a batter and struck out 2. Winston-Salem blasted Wilmington 7-1. Jacoby Ellsbury went 1 for 4 and scored a run. Jeff Natale went 1 for 2 and walked twice. Ian Bladergroen went 1 for 2 and had a RBI. Andrew Dobies took the loss going 5 innings. He allowed 5 runs on 9 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 2. Scott Shoemaker pitched the final 3 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He did not walk a batter and had 1 K. Charleston blanked Greenville 1-0. Chris Jones started and went 5 innings. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits and 3 BB. He had 4 Ks. Jay Johnson went 1 for 4. Dominic Ramos also was 1 for 4 while Matt Mercurio went 1 for 3.
