The weather played a big role in action on Saturday. Both Pawtucket and Portland had their games postponed due to rain. In the remaining games, Wilmington was edged by Myrtle Beach 1-0. Gary Galvez started and went 4 2/3 innings scattering eight hits while allowing 0 runs. Ryan Schroyer took the loss allowing 1 run on 2 hits over 2 1/3 innings of work. Scott White went 2 for 3 for the Blue Rocks. Greenville also lost in a pitchers duel 2-1 to Columbus. Ismael Casillas started and pitched 4 innings of scoreless, hitless ball. He had 4 K's while walking just 1. Tim Cox suffered the loss giving up 2 runs on just 1 hit over 3 innings of work.He struck out 4 Coumbus batters but in the inning he allowed the 1 run he hit 2 of them. Chuck Jeroloman and Matt Mercurio both went 2 for 4. Player of The Night: Ismael Casillas who threw four no-hit innings while striking out 4 .
