Fall/Winter League Roundup: Perales, Tucker named AFL Fall Stars

It was another tough week for the Salt River Rafters leading up to Sunday's Fall Stars Game in Mesa. As the AFL season nears its end, other leagues are just starting to get underway for the winter. This week's roundup covers all the action from November 3-9, and stats for all participating players can be found at the SoxProspects.com Fall & Winter Leagues page.

Arizona Fall League
Luis Perales (pictured) was named a 2025 Fall Star but did not pitch in Sunday's Fall Stars Game after getting the start for Salt River against Surprise on Friday. The 22-year-old righty allowed two earned runs on two hits, one walk, and three strikeouts in one inning. He threw 23 pitches (16 strikes), generating four whiffs and reaching 100.4 mph with his fastball as his ERA rose to 10.32 through six outings (11 1/3 innings). Isaac Stebens relieved Perales in the second inning of that contest and retired all three batters he faced in his lone appearance of the week. Jojo Ingrassia, who was recently profiled by MLB.com, walked two and struck out one in a scoreless fourth inning on Thursday. Brandon Neely worked 1 2/3 innings out of the bullpen on Wednesday, surrendering two earned runs on four hits, two walks, and two strikeouts. Jay Allmer yielded one run in one-third of an inning on Tuesday.

Like Perales, Stanley Tucker was named a 2025 Fall Star. The 23-year-old infielder was deployed as a defensive replacement in Sunday's Fall Stars Game and went 0 for 2 with one strikeout off the bench. In four games for Salt River this past week, he went 4 for 15 (.267) with three RBIs, two stolen bases, and five strikeouts. Johanfran Garcia started two games (one at catcher and one at DH), going 2 for 7 (.286) with one double, one RBI, one run scored, one walk, and two strikeouts. He also threw out two of five possible base stealers from behind the plate. Nelly Taylor got into just one game and went 1 for 3 (.333) with two strikeouts.

Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (Puerto Rico)
The 2025-2026 Puerto Rican Winter League season began on Thursday. Wyatt Olds has already appeared in two games for Caguas, yielding two earned runs on two hits, two walks, and three strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings of relief. On the other side of the ball, 23-year-old catcher Juan Montero is on Ponce's roster but has yet to get into a game for the Leones.

Dominican Professional Baseball League
Luis Guerrero was designated for assignment on Thursday and remains in limbo as of this writing. The hard-throwing righty appeared in one game for Escogido on Saturday, scattering three walks and striking out one over 1 1/3 scoreless, no-hit innings of relief. His ERA now sits at 1.93 through five outings (4 2/3 innings), though he has recorded more walks (6) than strikeouts (4) thus far.

Venezuelan Professional Baseball League
Eybersson Polanco appeared in two games for Zulia this past week, allowing two earned runs on four hits, no walks, and two strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings of relief. The 22-year-old righty's ERA now sits at 4.00 through his first five appearances and nine innings of the winter.
