SoxProspects Featured Video: Pat Light
Every weekend, we will be featuring videos here from the SoxProspects YouTube page. Today's video is of Pawtucket right-handed pitcher Pat Light.
The video features the 25-year-old facing batters on May 28, before he left the game after being struck on the pitching hand by a hard grounder. In this outing, Light sat in the high-90s and touched 100 mph on Assistant Scouting Director Chaz Fiorino's radar gun.
Light has had an up-and-down season, but his overall numbers are strong, posting a 2.05 ERA and 1.06 WHIP across 26 1/3 innings with 32 strikeouts and only 13 walks. Of late, Light has thrown much better in Pawtucket, and was recalled to Boston on June 28.
We
plan to incorporate more video this year to supplement our regular
scouting material, so check back here and on the YouTube page
frequently.
