Fall/Winter League Roundup: Kehrt helps lift Mayaguez to Puerto Rican League title

With most leagues in championship mode, few Red Sox prospects made appearances for their teams this week.

This week's roundup covers Jan. 20-26.

Mexican Pacific League:

Nate Reed received the start for Hermosillo on Friday, tossing 5 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits and four walks, striking out four. Hermosillo currently leads Navojoa three games to two with a chance to clinch the series on Tuesday.

Roberto Clemente (Puerto Rico) Baseball League:

Jeremy Kehrt (pictured) got the start for Mayaguez on Tuesday, hurling four innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk, striking out two in a no decision. Mayaguez defeated Cagus four games to two to win the Puerto Rican League title.

Australian Baseball League:

Stefan Welch had a solid week, going 3 for 13 with a double, run scored, four RBI and five walks in four contests.
