18 former Red Sox selections re-drafted in 2012

This year, 18 previous Red Sox draftees were re-selected in the amateur draft. Boston's keen eye for talent is evident, with a high number of re-drafted players including 19 in 2011 and 18 in 2010. Current Red Sox prospects Matt Marquis and Travis Shaw were drafted and signed by the Red Sox last year after being drafted by the team previously.
