Peoria pummels Scottsdale
10/15 Cup of Coffee: A rough night for Scottsdale pitching led to a 14-5 defeat on Friday night.
Logan Schafer (MIL), Jedd Gyorko (SD), and Jaff Decker (SD) all homered to lead the high powered offense of the Javelinas.
Tyson Gillies (PHI) went 2 for 4 with a walk, and Bryce Harper (WAS) added a 2 run triple to lead the way for the Scorpions. On what was a forgettable night for the pitching staff, every pitcher for the Scorpions gave up at least 1 run. Daryl Maday (SF) earned the loss going 3.0 innings giving up 3 hits and 4 runs.
Alex Hassan went 0 for 2 with 2 walks. His current slash line in the AFL is .133/.350/.133 in 15 at bats. Will Latimer tossed 2.0 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs while striking out 3.
Scottsdale will play at Peoria tomorrow at 3:35 EST.
