Beckett, Red Sox come to terms on four year contract extension
The Boston Red Sox will be holding a 3 p.m. press conference at Fenway Park to announce a contract extension for opening day starter Josh Beckett. The deal is believed to be for four years at $68 million and will keep Beckett in Boston through the 2014 season. Beckett, who will turn 30 in May, is in his tenth major league season (fifth with Boston) and has compiled a 106-68 record with a 3.81 ERA in 229 games.
