Bates only bright spot on dismal Saturday
10/12 Cup of Coffee: Well it is going to take more than a Cup of Coffee to get this individual going after that miserable outcome in Tampa last night, I mean this morning but here it goes. Phoenix downed Scottsdale 9-4. Aaron Bates went 2 for 4 in the game. He scored 2 runs and drew a walk. Josh Reddick went hitless in 5 at bats. Beau Vaughn threw 1 inning and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He had 1 strikeout.
In Hawaii, Honolulu blanked North Shore 5-0. Yamaico Navarro was the only Sox prospect to see action and he went 0 for 4 with 2 strikeouts. His average dropped to .188.
