Player of the Month, August: Lars Anderson
Portland 1B Lars Anderson continued to distinguish himself last month, hitting five home runs and 11 doubles in 30 games, posting a .320/.452/.580 (1.032 OPS) line over 100 ABs (32 hits), earning himself SoxProspects.com Player of the Month honors for August. He also scored 22 runs, batted in 26, and stole a base. In 41 games with the Sea Dogs since his promotion, Anderson is batting .316/.436/.562 (.962 OPS) in 133 ABs, with five home runs and 13 doubles, batting in 30 runs and scoring 27.
