Pawtucket OF/DH Chris Carter bounced back from his sub par June to post a .308/.361/.570 (931 OPS) line in 107 ABs (33 hits) with seven home runs and five doubles, scoring 17 runs and batting in 20 over 27 July games, earning him recognition as SoxProspects.com (position) Player of the Month of July. Carter, 25, played in the AAA All Star Game July 16, going 1/5, but with the lone hit being a two-run homer. In 115 games played with Pawtucket in 2008 Carter is .293/.352/.819 (.871 OPS) over 443 ABs (130 hits) with 24 home runs, 24 doubles and two triples. He is currently the #12 rated prospect in the organization by SoxProspects.com.
