Player of the Week, 6/30-7/6: Lars Anderson
In a week spent mostly away from the friendly confines of Lancaster's Clear Channel Field, JetHawks 1B Lars Anderson swatted three home runs (two at High Desert) and posted a .429/.485/.786 (1.271 OPS) line and ran away with the SoxProspects.com (position) Player of the Week voting for June 30-July 6. Lars also doubled and batted in seven runs while scoring 7 and walked four times in 33 plate appearances over seven games. In 290 ABs over 73 games, Anderson, 20, is .324/.415/.528 (.942 OPS) with 13 HR, 18 doubles and one triple, scoring 56 runs and batting in 49. He is currently the fourth ranked prospect in the organization by SoxProspects.com.
