Moss back to Pawtucket to make room for Papi
The Red Sox have optioned OF/1B Brandon Moss to Pawtucket in order to facilitate the return of DH David Ortiz, who will be activated from the disabled list prior to tomorrow's series opener against the Yankees. In 34 games with the big club Moss is .295/.337/.462 with two home runs, five doubles and one triple over 78 ABs (23 hits), scoring seven runs and batting in 11.
