Portland RHP Michael Bowden struck out 14 over 13 innings pitched (while walking only one) in two starts, June 3 against Erie (Tigers) and June 8 versus Akron (Indians), defeating Erie while taking a no-decision against Akron and sufficiently impressing the voters who awarded him his third SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week award for June 2-8 (an organization leading seventh overall). Bowden allowed four earned runs (a 2.77 ERA), one vs. Erie and three vs. Akron, on eight hits, representing an .174 BAA.
