Pitcher of the Month, May: Michael Bowden
In 37 IP over six May starts Portland RHP Michael Bowden allowed 5 ER on 18 hits (.144 BAA), walking five while striking out 29, earning himself a 3-1 record and SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Month Honors. Bowden was voted SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week for May 19-25 (as well as April 28-May 5). With Portland in 2008, Bowden is holding opposing batters to an .176 BAA with 42 hits in 69 IP, allowing 16 ER for a 2.12 ERA and striking out 64 while walking 16 (for a 5-3 record).
