Moss hits 3 home runs to lead Pawsox to blowout win


6/1 Cup of Coffee: Pawtucket doubled up Durham Saturday night 14-7. David Pauley pitched 5 2/3 innings giving up 7 earned runs on 11 hits while striking out 5 and walking 1. Michael Tejera pitchd 3 1/3 scoreless innings while striking out 4 to pick up his first save. Brandon Moss went 4 for 5 with 3 home runs and 4 RBI while Keith Ginter went 2 for 5 with a home run and 4 RBI. Jed Lowrie went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI while Chris Carter went 1 for 5 with a home run and 2 RBI. Jonathan Van Every also homered and drove in 2 runs in the Pawsox win.


Portland fell to New Hampshire 12-5. Matt Goodson pitched 3 innings giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits while striking out 2 and walking 1. Chad Rhoades pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Bubba Bell went 3 for 5 with a home run, stolen base and an RBI while Sandy Madera and Aaron Bates each had 2 hits apiece in the loss.

Lancaster lost to Inland Empire 7-3. Brian Steinocher pitched 3 1/3 innings giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 10 hits while striking out 1 and walking 1. Richie Lentz pitched 1 2/3 innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 3. Argenis Diaz went 2 for 4 while Josh Reddick went 1 for 4 with a triple. Chih-Hsien Chiang went 1 for 4 and drove in a run.

Greenville defeated Columbus 6-2. Chris Province pitched 6 innings giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits while striking out 2 and walking 1. Chad Povich pitched 2 scoreless innings for the Drive. Oscar Tejeda went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI while Luis Exposito went 1 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI. Mike Jones, David Mailman, and Jered Stanley each had 2 hits in the victory.

The DSL Red Sox defeated the Chicago White Sox #2, 3-0 on Saturday.
