Portland RHP Michael Bowdenworked seven runs of one hit ball against New Britain (Twins) May 24, allowing one run and striking out five while walking none, earning the win and the SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the Week nod for May 19-25 (his sixth such honor in two seasons, leading all others). Bowden, 21, owns a 4-3 record with a 2.47 ERA (15 ER) in 54.2 IP over 10 starts, allowing 36 hits (.183 BAA) while striking out 53 and walking 14, with Portland in 2008. He is currently the #2 ranked prospect in the organization by SoxProspects.com and previously won Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 28-May 5.
