Moss to DL, Hansen to Boston

OF Brandon Moss has been placed on the disabled list after undergoing an appendectomy before Saturday night's game against Tampa. In a corresponding move the Red Sox have called up RHP Craig Hansen from Pawtucket. Moss was 2/4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Friday night. He has been released from the hospital and will reportedly spend 10 days recuperating before beginning rehabilitation. Hansen worked a scoreless inning against Syracuse (Blue Jays) in his last appearance, allowing one hit.
