Blackey Ks 9 in 4 innings of relief
5/10 Cup of Coffee: This person really needs a strong Cup of Tim Hortons this morning to shake out the cobwebs after watching the Red Sox blow another game in the bottom of the ninth. Really looking forward to that first cup of java but till then on to the task at hand. The Pawtucket/Durham game was postponed.
Bowie defeated Portland 7-3. Dustin Richardson (3-3) went 5 innings allowing 6 runs on 8 hits and 3 BB. He had 2 Ks. Kyle Jackson threw 2 frames and gave up a run on 3 hits and a BB. He had 2 Ks. Daniel Haigwood threw a clean inning with 1 K. Beau Vaughn threw a scoreless 9th giving up 2 hits while fanning 1. Andrew Pinckney went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI.
Inland Empire hammered Lancaster 10-3. Chris Jones (2-3) went 4 innings allowing 9 runs on 8 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Richie Lentz threw 1 inning and gave up 1 run on 1 hit and 2 BB. He had a K. Jason Blackey threw 4 scoreless innings allowing 3 hits while striking out 9. Jorge Jimenez went 3 for 4 with a run scored. Daniel Nava went 2 for 3.
