Bard worked 2.2 innings at Augusta (Giants) 4/21, striking out three; 1.2 innings against Asheville (Rockies) 4/24, with four Ks and a walk; and pitched 2 innings against Hickory (Pirates) 4/27, allowing a hit and striking out 4. On the season Bard has thrown 18 innings over nine games, surrendering six hits (.105 BAA) and three walks, while striking out 27. Bard was also named SoxProspects.com Pitcher of the week for April 3-6.
