Buchholz to train at API to prepare for 2008

In preparation for the 2008 season, right-handed pitcher Clay Buchholz has decided to train at the Athlete's Performance Institute, which is part of the Andrews Institute campus in coastal Gulf Breeze, Florida beginning on October 28th. There, Buchholz will start a program to strengthen his shoulder as the plan is for him to start the season in the Red Sox rotation in 2008. He is expected to throw at least 190 innings in 2008 if all goes as planned. Buchholz finished 2007 with a 3-1 record in Boston with 1.59 era and 22 strikeouts in 22 2/3 innings pitched.
