Player of the Week, 7/29-8/4: Keylor
Last week Portland OF Cory Keylor posted an .435/.480/1.130/1.610 line, hitting three HR, two doubles and one triple, scoring eight runs and batting in four, a good week's work any week and more than enough for SoxProspects.com Player of the Week honors for July 29-August 4. On the season with Portland Keylor is batting .260/.324/.424/.748 with eight HR, 22 doubles, six triples, and has batted in 40 runs. Keylor, 27, was acquired from Baltimore in March for C Alberto Castillo. He was their Minor League Player of the Year for 2006. Honorable mention: Paul Smyth, .476/.500/1.000/1.500, three HR, one triple, seven runs scored and seven batted in.
