Zink throws complete game to lead Portland to 2-1 win
6/20 Cup of Coffee: Tuesday saw Indianapolis edge Pawtucket 4-3 in extra innings. David Pauley went 5 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits and a BB. He had 6 Ks. Mike Burns threw 3 scoreless innings. He gave up 3 hits and had 1 K. Craig Breslow (1-1) went 2 2/3 innings . He was charged with allowing 1 run. He did not give up a hit but had a baserunner reach on an error. He had 3 Ks. Travis Hughes gave up the game winning hit to the only batter he faced. David Murphy went 4 for 6 with a RBI. Bobby Scales went 3 for 4 with a run scored. George Kottaras went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI.
Portland defeated Connecticut 2-1. Charlie Zink (6-2) pitched a complete game victory. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits and 2 BB. He had 8Ks. Jay Johnson went 2 for 4 with a run scored. Andrew Pinckney went 1 for 2 with a RBI.
