In six games against Ottawa (O's) and Syracuse (Blue Jays) Pawtucket's Brandon Moss continued swinging a hot bat, hitting two HR, three doubles, one triple, batting in eight runs while scoring six himself, for a .500/.519/.923 (1.442 OPS) line in 26 ABs. For this performance he was voted SoxProspects.com Player of the Week for May 20-26. Building on the strength of a comeback 2006 campaign with Portland, the lefty-batting 23-year-old Moss has reemerged as a Red Sox top-five prospect, owning a .289/.390/.528 (.918 OPS) line with nine HR on the season thus far. Honorable mention: Lancaster's Bubba Bell, who went .615/.656/.885 (1.541 OPS) on the week.
