Bell scores 5 runs in Jethawk win


5/4 Cup of Coffee: On Thursday, Indianapolis defeated Pawtucket 9-7 in 10 innings. David Pauley went 6 innings giving up 5 runs on 6 hits and 2 BB. He had 2 Ks. Craig Breslow threw 1 scoreless inning allowing 1 hit while striking out 2. Edgar Martinez went 2 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. He had 1 K. Manny Delcarmen (1-1) took the loss. He allowed 2 runs in the 10th inning. He gave up 2 hits while striking out the side. Bobby Scales went 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Jeff Bailey went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI. Kevin Cash went 2 for 5.

Bowie defeated Portland 7-3. Matt Goodson (1-1)started and took the loss. He lasted 5 innings giving up 5 runs on 4 hits and 3 BB. He had 10 Ks. Greenville was leading Asheville 5-0 in the third when the game was called because of rain.
