On Thursday, Buffalo blanked Pawtucket 5-0. Kyle Synder started and went 7 innings. He gave up 5 runs on 8 hits. He had 2 Ks. David Murphy went 2 for 3. Dustin Pedroia went 1 for 3. Connecticut shut out Portland 1-0 in 11 innings. Frank Brooks started and went 6 2/3 innings. He did not allow a run on 6 hits and 2 BB. He had 5 Ks. Randy Beam went 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
