In action on Sunday, Pawtucket split a doubleheader with Scranton/WB. They lost the first game 3-2. Kason Gabbard went 6 innings allowing 3 runs on 10 hits and a BB. He had 7 Ks. Barry Hertzler gave up 1 hit in an inning of work. Keoni DeRenne went 2 for 3. Dustin Pedroia went 1 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI. The PawSox took the second contest 7-3. Marc Deschenes went 5 innings allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and a BB. He had 3 Ks. Jermaine Van Buren went the final 2 innings allowing 0 hits and a BB. Jeff Bailey went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. Ron Calloway went 2 for 3 with a home run. Portland outslugged Trenton 14-13 in 14 innings. The SeaDogs used 6 pitchers in the game. Chris Smith started and went 5 1/3 innings. He gave up 7 runs on 7 hits and 3 BB. He had 8 Ks. Chris Durbin went 2 for 6 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Brandon Moss went 2 for 6 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Salem edged Wilmington 1-0. Andrew Dobies went 6 innings and took the loss. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits and 2 BB. He had 4 Ks. Jeff Corsaletti went 1 for 2. Scott White went 1 for 3. Greenville defeated West Virginia 3-2. Mike Rozier started and went 5 2/3 innings. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and 2 BB. He had 5 Ks. Tim Cox picked up the win going the final 3 1/3 innings. He did not allow a ru on 2 hits. He did not walk anyone and had 2 Ks. Mitch Stachowsky went 2 for 3 with a RBI. Tony Granadillo went 1 for 3. He scored 2 runs and had a RBI. Tri-City blanked Lowell 3-0. J.T. Zink went 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and a BB. Yulkin German went 2 innings allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 3 Ks. Luis Exposito went 2 for 3. Junior Moreno went 1 for 3 and Aaron Bates went 1 for 4. The Gulf Coast Red Sox were not scheduled.
