As we gather for our morning cup of coffee, a Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian readers. Last night, Scranton/WB blasted Pawtucket 10-1. Matt Ginter started and went 5 1/3 innings. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits and 2 BB. He had 2 Ks. Charlie Zink finished the last 2 2/3 innings. He allowed 5 runs on 5 hits and 2 BB. He had 3 Ks. Trent Durrington went 2 for 3 with a RBI. Trenton edged Portland 7-6. Luis Mendoza started and went 6 innings. He gave up 5 runs on 7 hits and 2 BB. He had 3 Ks. Mike Bumatay blew the save allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 2 BB in 1 inning of work. He had 2 Ks. Randy Beam took the loss. He gave up 1 run on 1 hit in 1 inning of work. Tyler Minges went 3 for 5 with a run scored. Luis Jimenez went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 runs scored. Chad Spann went 3 for 5 and scored a run. Lynchburg edged Wilmington 3-2. Ryne Lawson got the win allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and 4 BB in 4 2/3 innings. T.J. Large went the final 2 1/3 innings. He did not allow a run while giving up 1 hit and striking out 4.
