On Friday, Pawtucket won the game that had been suspended on Thursday 2-1. Charlie Zink started the resumption of the game and went 5 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits. He walked 2 and struck out 4 in getting the win. Jermaine Van Buren got the save going 2 innings allowing 0 runs on 1 hit. He walked 2 and struck out 1. Adam Stern went 1 for 4 and scored a run. Dustin Pedroia went 2 for 4 with a RBI. Luke Allen and Ken Huckaby were both 2 for 4. In the regularly scheduled contest, Syracuse defeated Pawtucket 4-1. Adam Stern went 1 for 3 and scored a run. Dustin Pedroia went 1 for 3 while Corky Miller went 1 for 2. Jimmy Serrano took the loss going 5 innings. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits with 4 BB and 6 Ks. Portland beat New Britain 7-2. Jay Johnson went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI. Jeremy West went 2 for 3 while scoring 2 runs and driving in a single run. He also had 2 walks. Brandon Moss went 3 for 5 scoring 3 runs and recording a RBI. Zack Borowiak went 2 for 3 with a RBI. Jose Vaquendo got the win going 5 2/3 innings allowing 2 runs on 6 hits while walking 2 and striking out 4. Wilmington edged Frederick 3-2. Gary Galvez went 6 innings for the win. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits while allowing 0 BB and striking out 7. Andrew Pinckney went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI. Iggy Suarez went 2 for 4 and scored a run. After a lenghty rain delay, Charleston defated Greenville 7-1. Jeff Natale went 2 for 3. Mike Rozier went 5 innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits and 2 BB. He struck out 2. Kyle Fernandes went 1 1/3 innings and took the loss giving up 5 runs on 3 hits and 4 BB. He struck out 1.
Player of The Night: Brandon Moss who went 3 for 5 with a RBI and 3 runs scored
