5/24 Cup of Coffee

Last night was one of those rare nights this season when every one of the teams were victorious. Pawtucket edged Louisville 2-1. Jon Lester started and got the win going 5 innings. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits. He gave up 4 BB and had 3 Ks. Manny Delcarmen pitched 1 hitless inning of relief with 2 BB and a K. Jermaine Van Buren got the save throwing a perfect inning of relief. Dustin Pedroia went 3 for 3 with a run scored. Adam Stern was 1 for 3 with a run scored and Ron Calloway went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI. Portland got by Binghampton 6-3. Kason Gabbard got the win going 7 innings while allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. He allowed 3 BB and struck out 5. Jeremy West went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI. Chad Spann went 1 for 3 with a home run. Zack Borowiak went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a RBI. Wilmington had a come from behind 9-8 victory over Frederick. Jacoby Ellsbury went 2 for 3 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Ian Bladergroen went 2 for 4 and scored 2 runs. Andrew Pinckney went 2 for 3 and scored 3 runs. Iggy Suarez went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Andrew Dobies started and went 6 innings. He gave up 5 runs on 9 hits. He gave up 2 BB and had 5 Ks. Scott Shoemaker got the win pitching 2 innings. He allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 1. Greenville defeated Greensboro 6-2. Jay Johnson went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Jeff Natale went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI. Logan Sorensen went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI. Tony Granadillo went 2 for 4. Kevin Guyette got the win going 5 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 4. Hunter Jones pitched the final 4 innings. He did not allow a run while giving up 4 hits. He did not walk a batter and had 4 Ks.
