Pawtucket lost both games of a doubleheader to Syracuse last night. In the first game, they were shut out 2-0. David Riske went 2/3 of an inning allowing 0 hits and 2 BB. He struck out 2. Jimmy Serrano went 5 1/3 innings allowing 0 runs on 3 hits and 1 BB. He struck out 5. Manny Delcarmen took the loss giving up 2 runs on 3 hits in 1 1/3 innings. He struck out 2. Dustin Pedroia went 3 for 4 and Ron Calloway went 2 for 3. The second game of the twin bill saw the PawSox fall 5-2. Matt Ginter went 5 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 3. Adam Stern went 1 for 4 and scored a run. Trent Durrington and Ron Calloway had the only other hits both going 1 for 3. Trenton beat Portland 5-2. Phil Seibel went 5 innings allowing 0 runs on 1 hit. He walked 3 and struck out 4. Jon Searles blew the save giving up 2 runs on 5 hits in 2 innings of work. Victor Ramos took the loss allowing 3 runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 3. Wilmington shut out Lynchburg 7-0. Bryan Pritz led the offense going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. Ian Bladergroen also was 2 for 3 and he scored twice. Jeff Corsaletti went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI. Gary Galvez started and went 3 1/3 innings allowing 0 runs on 2 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 1. Scott Shoemaker got the win going 2 2/3 innings allowing 0 runs on 1 hit. He did not walk a batter and struck out 3. Greenville had the night off. Player of The Night: Bryan Pritz who went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI. He had a double and a triple to help lead Wilmington to their win.
