Randy Newsome took the loss allowing 2 runs on 2 hits and 3 walks. He struck out 1. Greenville got by Columbus 4-2. Jeff Natale went 2 for 6 with a run scored. Luis Soto also was 2 for 6 with a RBI. Tony Granadillo was 2 for 6 with a home run. Matt Mercurio went 2 for 5 with a run scored. Clay Buchholz went 5 innings allowing just 1 run on 4 hits. He allowed 2 walks and recorded 6 Ks. J.T. Zink pitched the final 2 innings and got the win allowing 0 runs on 1 hit.
